Stevie Hill: reviews

Stevie's new work "Avalanche In Reverse" keeps that great 70's rock spirit. "Millions" and "Cerberus" are really strong songs--by the way both feature Warren Ham singing all background vocals.
But without any doubt: "Avalanche" is not a new Bloodrock album by one of the band's major musician/composers. It is a collection of wonderful music by the group's keyboardist, now a mature artist.
Peter Somner, Editor Rockpalast @ German TV (2009)
"... great style, great melodic instinct, and great dexterity on the 88's." (nomination: best Avant-Garde/Experimental musician)
Fort Worth Weekly (Music Awards)
"Hill got a powerful, throaty sound out of his Hammond B-3 organ that recalled Deep Purple's Jon Lord with more finesse."
Dallas Morning News
"Stevie Hill is a keyboard player extraordinaire."
Terry Knight (Grand Funk manager & producer)
"...the cream of the crop of keyboardists in Texas, perhaps in the whole world."
Buddy Magazine
"He simply seems likeable, even when he's playing the 88's over a beat ripped from an electronic keyboard. His music's well-orchestrated, well-arranged, and catchy." (review of "Rough Cuts")
Ft. Worth Weekly
"'Jessica' boasts instrumental breaks that throw out surprisingly intricate riffs at breakneck speed."
